Congratulation on being the oldest living poster on the Dell thread( Post #179 ), having beat Pat by one month.
( Maybe that is the longest poster, or the only survivor of posters before Pat, or...................)
If you had bought these stocks on Aug 30, 1996
^DJI = +54%
^Ixic= +19% ( for 6 years?-Man, I guess that bubble is totally deflated)
IBM =+175%
Brka=+138%
Hpq+cpq=+ 10% ( maybe-tough to figure does 1cpq+1hwp=2hpq)
Real estate investments would be these performers many times over, without the torture of the infamous bubble and todays churning and uncertainties ( guess I just failed my broker exam)
Except for Dell =+ 1854%
