avg didn't pick it up , it still ran lol daily , then one day it just crashed

and this is on a new dell p4 256k memory pute

u-name it , I had the problems with this machine , and all because of virus , and now i make sure i have the latest updates from avg

those little klez.worms are very nasty

u might have to reinstall the operating system again(I had too)
files might have been damaged and non repairable , along with other programs , that are giving u trouble

I am really SICK with the way Microsoft systems control themselves in assuming things will and should be the way they expect them to be and, if they're not, just give up and quit.

Since then, I went to the Microsoft site and ordered a CD that had the Internet Explorer 6 on it (as well as the Media Player). . .

I received it a few days ago and finally got down to trying to install it over the weekend. . .

Well, people, I was right about Microsoft and their wonderful LOGIC. . .

Keep in mind, that I had tried to download the latest browser from the internet and install it BUT, it could not finish because of some error in the system (my system is still corrupt!). . . I thought if I got it from a CD, it would be better. . . W R O N G!

I was installing it. . . everything apparently was working just fine. . . then it happened. .. a window popped up saying, in so many words, "Sorry, a later version of the browser has been detected on your system and installation cannot proceed."

Now, that's one smart - A$$ piece of software!

As if I didn't know it!

Did it ever occur to them that what was there wanted to be replaced?! (And could NOT be removed first because of my system being so corrupt).

NO!

They couldn't even ask the question if I wanted to install it anyway, the best way they could!

Their LOGIC still S U C K S!

So, I guess that was a waste. . . (shoulda known). . . but. . .

I will have to just wait when I wipe the system clean installing XP Pro. . .

Isn't this FUN?!

. . . and just heard Gates talking about about how smart their software is getting.. . . Oh yea. . . really smart. . . They can't even improve their current installation logic. . . They're just going to create a larger piece of software that, if anything ever goes wrong, the whole thing will end up a real POS. . .

If I seem pissed, sorry, I AM!

Joe
