<>> how about an acknowlegement that these were blowout earnings with a tremendous forward outlook?>

How about an acknowledgement that the election-inspired and administration-engineered rally has, amazingly, run aground? (For those of a conspiratorial turn of mind)

...the current valuation offers an attractive opportunity to adjust their portfolios.

I'm betting there will be better opportunities soon. The UN vote this morning "gives U.N. arms inspectors, who have been out of Iraq for four years, 'immediate, unimpeded and unconditional' rights to search anywhere for banned weapons, including President Saddam Hussein's presidential compounds."

I think the chances of Iraq actually complying with this are ZERO.

Add to that that "the new measure still leaves Washington free to attack Iraq without a formal second U.N. resolution authorizing the use of force."

IMHO war and cheaper stock prices are coming.
