Ok, I can buy that. There are some people who see things before others do I would really like to have this power. I would use it extensively in stock picking. BTW, how far in advance are you talking about. I had an impression that in 2000, you were talking 2 years. Or was it 4 years? Rather that seing things before others, I think this is a serious case of wishful thinking, based on nothing other than wishful thinking.that combined with the Dems. lack of conviction allowed an opportunist like Bush to get his way. It won't continue far into the future. I am already hearing a lot of talk from Democrats about top 1 percent this, top 5 percent that. Of course they are ignoring the basic facts, that this is the most overtaxed group, paying most of countries expenses. The are talking in first, second and third derivatives interchageably, without clearly specifying what they are talking about, basically, you typical weasel logic, that won Gore the presidency in 2000 (oops, it lost him the election). And nor do I doubt the positions I have taken are wrong; in fact they are right. When others were saying screw the UN, I was saying the contrary. When others were saying screw our allies, I was saying the contrary. What are you saying now? BTW, you are missing the most important one, endorsement of majority of both houses of Congress, something new after 8 years of disregard of the will of the people through the elective representatives in Congress. This over focus on Saddam is wrong. I agree with that. As I said in the past, dealing with Saddam is like going to the dentist. Nobody is thrilled about it, there are 100s of other things that people would rather do, but if we neglect this problem, it may come back to haunt us. The same way as ignoring Bin Laden came back to haunt us.You think you've got a good guy in office who's not all that bright. Instead you've got a not so nice guy in office who is clever like a fox if not so bright. LOL. You are losing me with this bright not so bright, and who thinks what. But one think that I like to hear is that the political adverseries continue to think that Bush is not bright.Time will show the house of cards on which we're sitting. The weak markets, the weak economy, the general malaise that grips this nation speaks volumes. I am not sure I can read the market or the economy with any degree of accuracy. I thought Q3 would be very weak, but it turned out to be decent, from GDP perspective. And I thought Q4 would be better than Q3, but most of the economists are predicting weaker Q4. But one think that is hard not to notice is the Dems (well, some of them) trying to talk the economy down. I am not sure it is the best strategy for the county in general, or for winning elections.
