Oh please. I've considered it all. Now why don't you stop and consider how continuing with the war on drugs contributes to each and every one of the things you mention. Because it most certainly does. NOw you, stop and consider the effects of the War on Drugs- those are what you are commenting on. And you obviously don't even realize it. Drugs are illegal NOW, and this is what we have- the evils that you mention. That's it, really. Things are the way you want now. And this is what you got. Pretty nasty.

legalizing drugs can't stop chemical addictions

it didn't stop alcoholism with all the personal and domestic problems associated with it

they can't legalize all the mood altering drugs anyway, many are too harmful - so the pushers will continue to obtain or make them, create new concoctions and market them to kids, their future income source

We seem to be d**ned if we do and d**ned if we don't. The current situation, with over half the prison population there because of drugs and drive-by shootings a commonplace occurrence, is the result of illegalization of drugs.

And, as you point out, total legalization is a problem. There are some really nasty chemicals around. Even the less nasty ones, the ones not much worse than legal alcohol, can still produce major problems such as destroyed families because of the resulting addiction.

If I figure this out, I'll let you know. And then apply for my Nobel Prize. :-)
