Why do you think the Democrats got their clocks cleaned in this election? Let's take your approach and answer with another question. Why do you think the Dems have not gotten their "clocks cleaned" before this election? Let me give you a hint...9/11 and the exploitation of it by Rove and the Republican party. Why did Jeffords abandon the Republican party giving the Democrats a majority before the election? Is it because he thought Bush was a right wing extremist? and because before 9/11 the country was not afraid? Fear and the exploitation of fear is what has given Republicans a win this election.
