In Beta QCharts 4.2.1.10, the logon dialog still contains a browser control, but it is directed at the Network Updates page. When this version is officially released, the Network Updates page will become a much more effective way to communicate QCharts-related information to subscribers.

Given how utterly useless and stale the so-called Network Updates page is and has been, I hardly think that's an uptick. I want a way to completely get rid of any browser whatsoever. Period. I do not want to contually be spammed by Lycos. I do not want to have to hang while the web page loads, something that I generally have to do, before I can log on. I do not want a browser to load within Qcharts. PERIOD. Perhaps some will find this new option useful. But I don't. I want an option to have NOTHING LOAD but a browserless workspace. Why is that so hard to understand? I suspect many others will agree, although at this point the dwindling user base is probably just too weary of bitching to waste the keystrokes.

Mike, I like the new beta so far. Couple suggestions though.
It is still nearly impossible to permanently set the preferences for pitchforks. When you bring up the preference screen it is too large and you cannot scroll down to save the settings. The forks drawing tools work fine however. And VWAP is an interesting addition. Now have to figure out how to use VWAP...if it has any real applications for day trading, that is..

From QCharts........

Today: Thursday, November the 21st (Update at 8:45 EST).

- Emini Data Outage

There was a data outage on the S&P and Nasdaq emini futures contracts yesterday for approximately one hour. We are still working to determine if this data can be restored during weekend maintenance. There is a corresponding gap in the data for these two contracts for this period of time.

>>>>>>>
What do they mean "IF THIS DATA CAN BE RESTORED"

Sheesh...nobody at Q actually trades, or THEY WOULD HAVE FIXED THIS LONG AGO AND WE WOULD NOT HAVE THE MISSING DATA TO TO BEGIN WITH ....OTHER DATA FEEDS DID NOT SKIP A TICK....no wonder this service has gone to hell..

Michael,

T&S for XYBR showing hundreds of transactions in 40K-60K size range alone. One would expect them to add up to a much larger number than current volume 1.4M shares. Could you, or anybody who knows the answer, explain the me discrepancy?

TIA
