Submit Yourselves to God

1 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? 2 You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. 3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

Well that is all very interesting , but isn't that exactly what the great Indian Saint Buddha was saying in his teaching of the "Four Noble Truths " 500 yrs before Jesus the young Hebrew Rabbai comes along later over in Gallilea
coming to God thru the Hindu rite of "Baptism"? Hindus , as the Romans noted had already been bathing in the Ganges for purification , washing away sins and drawing closer to God for centuries before John the Baptist comes along.

You know about Buddha right ? He gave many "Sermons" and traveled extensively thru India after giving away his earthly kingdom of riches for over 40yrs . And one of the great sermons was the ---->Sermon on the Mount . Also where the miracles of walking on the water are directly taken from and curing the lepers , who taught with parables without end including the one of the Mustard Seed etc ?

Ah yes , that's the "One"...Oh but i forgot , there is only one , which is your "One" <G>

Tha's why as an American I love God so much , for truth wins out in the end , there is freedom to explore and so in God I trust . The most peace the world has ever known came in an Indian Empire known as the Ashokan , the period after Alexander the Great's armies penetration into India when a young and all powerful King unified that continent and stopped all wars and killing and united it under the teachings of Buddha .

;-)
