I am impressed with the color saturation.

Ran all of those through "Digital Deluxe Toolbox version 1.0" (#reply-18191793). Awesome tool I found the day I posted about it. What I used most on the above theater images was De-noise, Hi-ISO grain, Underexposed, and Contrast Masking. That's what makes for the lush colors -- shadow detail was brought way up, middle tones smoothed, highlights cleaned, colors tuned, saturation up. Tons of manipulation.

What percentage of shots do you figure are discarded due to poor focusing?

This set was indeed very well lit, so for the first time in a long time I could use greater depth of field. Not too many were out because of focus or shake. Maybe one out of ten. Many were out because of facial expression. About two out of three, as always. But compared to other, less lit and more action filled plays, making the snaps on this one was a piece of cake. All the real work went in afterwards, in Photoshop.
