Yes, but that doesn't necessarily condone ill treatment and

torture. I mean, are you going to whine over that forever? Why feed uncertainty?

The resolution is defeat for Mr. Bush. All war declaration
must come from the U.N. Security Council. So war is off for a long time. In the meantime the economic mess will roll on to collapse and next year war will be far off on the priority lists.

Bald Eagle, of course the Fed knows that every statistic

out of Washington is massaged for political purposes and
unemployment is understated.
That's why they're back in panic.

The economy is 2/3rds driven by consumer spending so you can see that as that slows because being fed with constant terror fright and war scares and general mismanagement
people are deciding to tend to security by curtailing
consumption, saving and paying down debt. It's murder to
be deep in debt as prices drop.
