what kind of inflation are you looking for if we get the decline in oil prices? We had inflation in the 98-00 period, but only in equities and housing prices (not rent)- so the old adage "inflation is bad for stocks" didn't apply- then.

The deflationary forces for a lot of goods and services (thanks to the internet) are really going into high gear now with outsourcing of labor to the third world, its more intense than 98/99. Without labor pricing power for services businesses what kind of inflation can we have? I've been wondering about this issue myself.
