Larry, I just have trouble with your system buying the "low" at COMP 4200 in April 2000 and selling the "high" 9-months later at COMP 2800.

The fact that the system was wrong for the first 9-months of the bear puts it in poor performance for this bear market. Not counting the system's last buy, it is down 10% for this bear according to first glance. If it gets whipsawed again this time, it will have a negative return for this bear market.

That's why it is so important to use interpretive analysis when looking at charts, IMO.

PS:This system is much too long term for this thread.

Bad assumption. Though there are some daytraders on this thread, most of us position trade as well and have been following the bullish percentages for upwards of five years. As of Wednesday, I am out of daytrading mode and have position shorts.

Please feel free to post longer term stuff on this thread too.
