Joan, Well, Fidelity has just fired, er, reassigned to cleaning the restrooms, the manager of its Regressive Loss Fund. The poor guy has only lost something like 90% of the money since he's been in charge. What the heck do those bosses expect. <g> I don't think there has ever been anything but the illusion of a safe place to save, though savings accounts under Reg Q were a good try. Too bad they couldn't yield positive returns after inflation and taxes. One honest co. is Expeditors International (EXPD). Alas, it is cyclical and they make no bones about it. But, if and when this downward spiral in profits turns.... 11 more co. names to follow over the next 5 years. <g>
