Wait until people see huge tax custs to the rich Unless you figure they will now push additional tax cuts there is no "huge tax cuts to the rich". but tax increases out of their paychecks. What tax increases? Wait until people start to see the photos of drilling in the Arctic wildlife. The drilling, if it happens (and there is a good chance it will not) will be in one tiny part of the area in question. The environmental damage it is likely to cause is often greatly exaggerated. Of course those exaggerations may prove to be an effective campaign idea so you might be right about them having an impact. Wait until we do declare war on Saddam and the body bags start coming home How many body bags do you think there is going to be. and people then see the lucrative contracts that our oil companies are already negotiating with the probable successors to Saddam and realize that it really was about oil all along. One thing does not logically follow the other. If our oil companies do sign lucrative contracts that doesn't mean that any attack on Iraq was set up to be a grab of Iraq's oil. Fact is, people like the Republic program in theory, but not in practice. I like the practice less then the theory because they compromise their ideas in practice often resulting in little actual change. Tim
