Presidents don't spend money.

That amounts to nothing more than a technicality.

The president proposes, and the president's party promotes budgets and spending.

Perhaps the GOP is just better at ramming their programs through, but amid all the hype, hoopla and two-party recriminations, the fact is that for whatever reason the GOP presides over the most massive expenditures, deficits and debt increases in their administrations in the past 25 years.

The truth is much different than the rhetoric.

And we're in for a repeat.

It may pass, but the question is whether there will be any ownership by citizens or obligation by the government.

The politicians in Washington will have to figure out how to balance the books a little better to accomplish it.
Yet we heard Rumsfeld casually mention $2 TRILLION in unaccounted for funds in DOD recently.

No media or political blow-up from either party.
