Very good point. I have two problems with P/C on Friday. Firstly I had a totally different number for P/C on Friday based on activity on ALL (not just CBOE) exchanges. It was .59. However we are dealing with Qcharts here and anything is possible (i.e. bad data) Secondly, the VIX was down smartly which is very odd on a day with a high P/C. This tells me that it is possible we saw a lot of put CLOSING activity. If anyone else has any thoughts on this theory I would be anxious to hear them. But indeed the CBOE numbers should concern the short-term bears.
