If I said/wrote to tap the F5 key it was a mistake. As soon as anything happens at all tap the CTRL key repeatedly. That should do it. If not try it a little earlier the next time.

In your root folder there's a file MSDOS.SYS which tells Windows what to do.

In the [Options] section, you can add the lines...

BootMenu=1
BootMenuDelay=10

The BootMenu=1 tells Windows to present you with a menu before booting. You can choose how you wish your system to boot from the choices offered. BootMenuDelay=10 tells Windows to go ahead and boot normally after ten seconds if no other option is selected by the user.

USE NOTEPAD ADD THE LINES, NOT A WORD PROCESSOR! The file must be plain text.
