I have worked for the Navy, the Airforce, the Marines, and the Army.

You think only enlisted personnel are responsible for putting into place systems with complete logistic support. The military gives requirements and the actual plan to provide materials with logistic support is done almost entirely by civilian civil service and private contractors. Each service uses a different mix. DOD has dozens of research labs for testing, planning, simulations etc. These are almost entirely run by Civilians.

I suggest you read how our military totally blind sided Iraq in the gulf way by crossing miles and miles of Iraq's dessert waste land.

How does one monitor vast empty areas. How would saddam with his stick and stones and how would we.

Now saddam can listen for radio of rf traffic and we can fake what we want from where we want and even with stationary sources we can fake motion.

So someone has to come out and see and become prey.

It is so obvious.
