I am not going to waste my time trying explain over and over again that when a person commits a crime, what this person's religion is, is irrelevant... and some women who become victims of an abusive marital relation in the US do in fact go into hiding ... if you happen not to know that, then may be you should do some research on the issue before making such statements. the distinction that I am making is, not every action a Muslim person does can or should be attributed to Islam. regards amein
