"World locked in hindsight"..uh huh..hence great pains have been taken to extend influences in the Caspian Sea region, in ex-Soviet republics (where Russia has been vying unsuccessfully to maintain a dying influence and where we have won) and now we have a possible brewing conflict that is the current focus of the world.

All for nothing..ah ! the wasted efforts in the Great Game No. 2..really?

Again the focus of your article is on transportation propulsion. It ain't all about that, as I implied earlier, even though it is a popular notion and is the first thing that comes to mind, usually, when people are asked about the extent of oil in everyday lives.

But..remember plastics. Remember petrochemicals.

EVs, hybrids, fuel cells, etc sure they will all come in due course.

In the meantime...
