BOB, IN the late 90s I started my DD on the possibility of moving money out of the USD. I had a tough time figuring out the best way to do it. For awhile, I invested a decent portion of my money in European corporations. When they got overvalued, :-), I sold them. I'm still not sure how to accomplish what I want. I would keep a little money in Gold, but I am not convinced that that market is "free" in "my" sense of the word. I think there are huge vested interests that want to discredit gold and/or a gold based monetary system as an alternative to "paper".
