bad news for all the companies that rely on fantasy earnings.

IASB is also tackling problems associated with pension fund accounting. If the international community adopts these higher accounting standards and the United States does not, our public markets will come to be regarded by the rest of the world in much the same condescending manner that many of us used to view stock markets elsewhere in the world. It is absolutely disgraceful that it appears the U.S. may be the last to adopt standards providing better disclosure to investors. It is time for the U.S. to stand up, face reality and tackle these issues head on. We can no longer let a few wealthy Silicon Valley execs protecting their gravy train stealth wealth transfer status dictate our national accounting "standards".

Best, Huey
