I had to ask my friend about the Falklands...Argentina decided they wanted the Falklands which were British and so they invaded. The British decided no, Argentinians couldn't have them. The British barely beat the Argentinians. I found this brief history which says that the Argentinian army were unprepared and untrained conscripts who surrendered often but British vessels were still sunk. I guess the days of "The British are coming" scaring anyone are over.

Maybe you're right they'd decide it was Iraq's fault, but I think they'd try to pin it on the IRA first.
