The rest of the world gives us the finger on an ongoing basis. Even many of our allies. However I would never support the burning of the flag of a sovereign nation as I veiw that as an affront to the citizens of a country not just it's government. The UN has no citizenry and doesn't nescesarily represent the best interests of my country or the world as a whole. Your assuming that the people of the world have an emotional stake involved in the UN and I disagree. If the world bank has a flag that should be burnt too. Would that be an offense to the world also?
