Next Target ??? Newcrest rises as Placer takes AurionGold

"Stockbrokers and analysts said Newcrest was catching the eye of investors looking for weighting in the Australian gold sector as AurionGold becomes integrated into the Placer fold."

"With AurionGold effectively gone, Newcrest is attracting interest as Australia's largest independent gold miner," said Intersuisse analyst Gavin Wendt.

"Newcrest mined 644,000 ounces of gold last year but is expected to more than double its annual take following redevelopment of its Telfer lode in Western Australia."

So Bob, what is your next target low for the XAU if you don't mind? Do you once again see probable lows in the 55/60 area?

fwiw that is my preferred target area for the next low. If it holds I believe it could put in a very nice extended run. I feel the XAU (and gold) is finishing up a 5-3-3 correction series, having just completed the ii of the last 3, and now starting the iii of the last 3 (or last down leg of this whole correction series).

(I'm not a Bob basher by the way, preferably not a basher period.)
