That should be a great time, due to the points race...I am sure you will have a memorable Sunday!
Are yo going to the time trials?
Yep, back in those days motocross was the cheapest way to get into wheeled racing. We used to travel all over the mid-west to race. Now many of the old tracks have become golf courses...

I have to find some new rat stocks to open positions in, as I sold most of my gainers...I only have 4 rats in inventory this minute...

Ideas everyone??

Honda, Yamaha Resume Production of Motorbikes in Vietnam After Restrictions Lifted

HANOI, Vietnam (AP) -- Honda and Yamaha said Monday they have resumed motorbike production at their Vietnamese factories after the government lifted restrictions on the import of assembly kits needed to make the bikes.

Yamaha Vietnam restarted production Friday at its plant in Hanoi, while Honda Vietnam began last Wednesday at its factory in northern Vinh Phuc province, company executives said.

In early September, the government imposed an import quota of 1.5 million sets of motorbike kits for the year, down from 2.5 million kits imported last year, forcing major Japanese manufacturers, including Honda and Yamaha, to suspend production.

The government cited soaring traffic accidents as the reason for the restriction, but manufacturers contended it was a protectionist measure to force them into buying more domestic parts.

The government relented last month, saying that from January it would allow foreign motorbike assemblers to import as many parts as they need to meet the production capacity stipulated in their investment licenses.

In the meantime, an extra 185,000 kits were allowed as a stopgap measure.

Honda Vietnam, a joint venture between Honda Motors and a local company, had suspended operations at its plant near Hanoi on Sept. 18 while Yamaha Vietnam, also a joint venture, stopped production on Oct 17.

Vietnam has 10 million motorbikes for its 80 million people, one of the highest per capita levels in the world. More than 10,000 people have been killed in traffic accidents already this year. More than 70 percent of accidents involve motorbikes.

They don't drive real well, obviously....
