<don't we have an intelligence agency that's supposed to be able to do this kind of stuff? we've been tracking him for a decade, we should by now be able to figure out where he is at least *some* of the time.> let's put it this way if i was the "boss" i would have had 24/7 unit on constant watch and readiness to take a cruise missile shot at Saddam at anytime we had a 100% rating of his being in cruise missile(or whatever super precise missile in a favor) "window" for a time allowing for launch and entry into the "window" zone BUT as i NO knowledge, that is zero knowledge on the degree of difficulty involved in such an operation i simply can offer no opinion on why such an event has never been realized.. One NYT feature i read on Iraq referred to their having been various plans to simply take out Saddam, and they simply have failed. But that was based just on NYT referencing to no specific source for the reportage on that issue. Max p.s.i think per jjkirk rating system i have to give myself a F6 rating, which falls into the throwing darts to get answers, category:)
