The outlook is too gloomy as per this article. Other
articles call a bottom in early, 2003. Anemic growth in
2003 late year, and uptick in 2004, with low single digit
growth rates. Immi

Intel Corp. are quietly building up product portfolios through internal development and acquisitions.

Interesting statement, but I can't find any INTC acquisitions in the optical market.
