I didn't avoid it; I just sort of thought, what the hell is the point? The things I see as accomplishments you see as undesirable (tax cuts, including significant progress toward eliminating the Death Tax, one of the worst). At the very least, we have devastated AlQueda AND begun to undo the untold damage of Clinton's allowing the United States to be run over by Iraq. What a reach. The elimination of the Death tax indeed. A proportional tax cut which favors those who are less likely to spend it and which has had nothing more than a political effect on the gullible and greedy. The publication of a preemptive doctrine that is viewed as much to be illegal as it is arrogant and elitist. And the total breakdown and absence of environmental policy. No economic policy whatsoever and the return of budget deficits. All replaced by war, unilateralism, violence, rhetoric, and arrogance in endless proportions. How's that for achievement? Al
