An application has been granted for the listing of 7.15 million subscription receipts of Acclaim Energy Trust. The subscription receipts are to be sold at a price of $4.20 per subscription receipt pursuant to the terms of a short form prospectus dated Aug. 30, 2002.
The closing of the prospectus offering of the subscription receipts is expected to occur prior to the open on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002. In anticipation of such closing, the subscription receipts will be listed at 5:01 p.m. on Sept. 11, 2002, and, subject to the occurrence of the closing of the prospectus offering, will be posted for trading at the open on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002.

Each subscription receipt entitles the holder to receive, upon the plan of arrangement becoming effective and without payment of additional consideration, one trust unit of the trust. Reference is made to the prospectus for further details regarding the arrangement. Proceeds from the issuance of the subscription receipts will be delivered to and held by Computershare Trust Company of Canada as the escrow agent.
If the arrangement fails to close by 5 p.m. (Toronto time) on Nov. 15, 2002, or the arrangement agreement is terminated at an earlier time, the escrow agent and the trust will return to holders of subscription receipts an amount equal to the issue price therefore and their pro rata entitlements to interest on such amount.
The subscription receipts will be evidenced by transferable subscription receipt certificates in fully registered form and will be listed and posted for trading until the earlier of the completion of the arrangement, or the termination date or such other date as may be determined by the Toronto Stock Exchange. A further bulletin will be issued by the TSE confirming terms of either: (a) the completion of the arrangement; or (b) the termination date and the subsequent delisting of the subscription receipts.
The holders of subscription receipts are not shareholders of the company and will have no voting rights or any other shareholder rights.
