They believe that by taking a gun and with a few cronies of like lackness of mind, making idle or real threats, and by filchatio grandissimus physicalis , that adequate remuneration can safely be made. Perhaps there is some comfort in their theory, in that free lodgings and board can usually be arranged. However, beyond that, it is a really short sighted plan. The ones who accompany them in these resting places, who on impulse due to imbalanced appetite and with, or due to an inherited trait, did some rash act of veritable magnitude, also elicit sympathy due dumb animals. I wish I could educate them as to the true nature of the educated accrual of illicit profit. If only they had lived life through my eyes and seen the glory of criminalis rampantum impunitio firsthand! (As a victim, I hasten to assure you!) What a revelation it would be! I know many of them have seen the light of creation since their guesthood, although I note that by recidivistic statistics it can be seen that few can change the nature of their weakness to the temptation of their flawed theories of acquisition.
