Did you see this gem in the middle of the Coleman Mondale campaign article. The post 9-11 airline security procedures flag Walter Mondale as a potential terrorist.

On the Sunday before the election:

"After attending church and then holding a town meeting in a pole barn on a Moorhead area farm, Mondale cuts short his bus trip to fly home and prepare for the debate.

Because the tickets for this commercial flight have been purchased just the day before, Mondale and his staff are flagged as security risks. The former vice president must undergo an additional metal detection screening and a search of his luggage before being allowed to board."
