OT: AMAT reports: Yes, I know, and normally I wouldn't be willing to hold a semi-equip short through an AMAT earnings report. But I'm (fairly) certain they will have mediocre, or bad news, to report. An upside surprise, given what all the semis have recently said, is unlikely. <<If one was unable to forecast the large run-up from the October 10 lows, why would one have any expectation in being able to forecast a drop from the November 10 high ?>> Umm, ah...... let's see.....how about: hope springs eternal?
