Yes, I'm just too damned dense to understand your crystal clear logic.

Let me just repeat it to be sure I got it right:

1) We shouldn't attack Iraq unless they attack us ON AMERICAN SOIL first.

2) The fact that there IS a clear American national security interest in Iraq makes it a less legitimate target than the Balkans, because we didn't have a national security interest there.

3) Since we were neither attacked nor had a national security interest in the Balkins, it was an appropriate target.

You're right. This makes total sense.
