They don't understand it isn't THEIR money, it is OUR money.. In the interest of full disclosure, it's not my money, either. I'm a retired fed--not covered by SS.

It's understandable, since she along with 98% of the rest of the population have been deliberately deceived into thinking it is an insurance fund. Unless you understand the massive hypocracy and deliberate deception of government officials on this subject you would quite naturally think it's your money. You then have to understand that it is just a tax, like any other that goes into the general fund, and the largest tax for most people. This is an enormous shock to most people who have been conditioned to trust government officials. One way to improve gov't deception is referenda to provide jail terms for politicians who knowingly lie to the public on subjects of great importance. Instead, of course, they have made themselves immune from any such accountability.
