Not using the taxing power to transfer wealth from the rich to working people, or, at least, not doing so at confiscatory rates, is not the same as using the taxing power to transfer wealth from working people to the wealthy. As it stands, the affluent are still taxed at higher rates; the working poor still have an earned income tax credit; even if there were a single rate, the affluent would still pay the bulk of the taxes; and entitlements that primarily benefit the poor and middle class ensure additional wealth transfer.

What is it that you imagine the Administration is raiding to tap out Social Security? Treasury notes? Those are just promises to pay out from general revenues to Social Security, eventually. They never represented funds on deposit. Clarify the mechanism for "raiding".....
