SIer formerly known as Joe B., I think scandisk is no substitute for SMART. Jake has a SMART-enabled disk drive and should follow the documentation for that program.

Thanks for all the help guys. I contacted my IS Dept. and they were in touch with Dell who will be sending a new disk drive.
