The Lieutenants Legacy

The Right Honourable Jean Chretien will leave a Liberal Party that is well prepared for the next election and very strong politically. His own history as a reliable lieutenant may well be repeated if the Canadian electorate accepts Paul Martin.
Mr. Chretien has always appealed to Canadians on a very personal level, he is well received throughout the Dominion, this has not been true of many politicians from La Belle Province.
Personally, I would consider it very ill fortune if time did not smile on Mr. Chretien and allow him an extended period as an elder statesman for our country.

Mr. Chretien has been a large part of the Liberal strength these many years.
