Plunging yields could push investors into stocks

Because no one can guarantee stocks will deliver better returns, some investors may prefer to simply conserve capital. Rich Bernstein, strategist at Merrill Lynch, expects stocks to gain just 2% in the next 12 months. "Both cash and bonds still seem like good competition for a 2% expected return," he says.
