In general running any windows software on NT, Win 2000 or XP should be more stable than using 95, 98 or ME. I believe this holds true for the Java Ticker as well. (I do understand that multiple monitor support is better in 98 than 2000, but I'd much rather be using 2000.) I think XP may offer the best of both variants and support multiple monitors with stability.

I've uninstalled the Java version 1.3 that I'd installed.

I then downloaded and installed Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition Version 1.4.1

Tomorrow, I'll see how well my system handles the live ticker. I may even try the DayTrader Workstation again.

I'll try to remember to post an update tomorrow night.
