Israel: A Newcomer with a Bold Peace Platform scott, two days ago an Al Aqsa terrorist on Arafat's payroll crawled under the Security Fence, broke into Kibbutz Metzner (a very dovish kibbutz, a natural base of support for Mitzna) and shot five people, including a mother and two small children at point-blank range. As long as this sort of "action" continues, the vast majority of Israelis will see Mitzna's platform as committing suicide for peace. After the next elections, it's entirely possible that Shinnui may replace Labor as Israel's second-biggest party.
