My guess is the air portion starts in December, and the ground attack comes in January. You will see the Reserve and National Guard units being called up in about 3 weeks [i.e. November 5]. We will have four or more carrier battle groups in the ME by mid to late December. The air war could start then. #reply-18118556

I spoke to a buddy of mine in the Air Force that just got rotated back from Ramstein AB. He said the AF is prepositioning in the Gulf like gangbusters. The B-1s, B-2s, and F-117s have been put into extra training and his unit has been flagged for deployment to Kuwait. He was supposed to go a week ago, but another base got the deployment orders. He was supposed to hear yesterday whether he's being shipped out this week.

He thinks after Christmas the shit is gonna hit the fan.
