Mani, <Saddam and Taliban are by products of flawed foreign policies. To not fix those mistakes, would be a bigger mistake.>

The foreign policies are flawed because the problems run deeper than the Western world can imagine. Good point about fixing the mistakes, though what those mistakes are and how to solve them are way up in the air.

By the way, good to see you dropping by this off-topic thread. ;-)

Re <<What Muslim people has bin Laden killed?>>

Comon Ted! He believes that anyone who does not closely follow his radical thought process should be killed, Moslem or not.

Mani, I wasn't believing otherwise but I wanted to hear the response to my question. I will be the first to agree there is nothing good about bin Laden. The real issue I was trying to make in that post is that bin Laden sees us as evil because of past diplomatic efforts in the Middle East. The question of his killing Muslims was brought up but really is of no importance to someone like bin Laden.....any deaths that result, Muslim or infidel, is one of the inconveniences of a holy war.

Saddam and Taliban are by products of flawed foreign policies. To not fix those mistakes, would be a bigger mistake.

I don't disagree. However, I believe bin Laden is a much more serious threat than Saddam. And yet this two bit dictator has 95% of the world's focus. He is given more credibility than he deserves IMO.
