Why limit it to Boston.. what ever happen to nyc, philadelphia, chicago. etc etc. I understand once 9/11 happen all funding for ira ended .... Also assistant secretary of state went over to Ireland and talked with Ira.. and told them do you want to be on terrorist lists or not.. A few days later they stopped the bombing and agreed to peace.. Now you have the off- shoot the "real IRA" which I believe is considered terrorists... and maybe on the terrorists list... .. see ya.
