So basically you have no background in oil - education or experience. I am new SI. Yes I am 31 years old and I am a fund manager. I do discuss stocks with SI people of a certain caliber, such as Grace, usually in PMs. I do discuss a lot of peripheral issues such as foreign affairs, because it takes my mind off the finance world for a minute or two.
