"Dirty bomb" with radioactive waste is a joke

I've done a few courses in radioactive safety etc.

I don't have your confidence on public safety in this case.

Strong radio active sources could be a real problem in the hands of terrorists. Russia is an open house of such material. Bio weapons too of course.

Hoping to hear some good news on the Russian bio weapon front from Bush any day now...

Who says it needs to kill immediately.

All it has to do is contaminate.

I would assume that radioactive waste is encased in lead and thus could be handled safely.

Now how about a device to blow that casing off.

Why is this so far fetched?
No one is gonna believe this could happen until it does.

Or how about polluting Lake superior with bio contaminants or radioactive waste. That could be devastating.
