...and the numbers he did like had a remainder of 1 when divided by 3. 1000 has a remainder of 1 when divided by 3. 1100 has a remainder of 2 when divided by 3. thus, the consistent answer is 1000.

my score was 138. seems like everyone on this board scored between 131 and 140. lots of smart people on this board.

He liked perfect squares, 40x40 50x50 etc, so 30x30=900 was the answer.
