Okay.

But the analogy still fails.

Public governments are not private corporations. We show this in many ways.

First, there is no open meetings act in private organizations; there is in public.
There is no FOIA in private organizations; there is in public.

But more important is the purpose and formation of the two.

Corporations are created for the private enrichment of a limited number of people who voluntarily associate themselves together.

Governments are created to enforce public interests.

Corporations are formed by one or a few individuals who create them and invite others voluntarily to join with them in a common enterprise to make money.

The US is formed by "We the People..." Remember the Constitution? We the people ARE the government. We form it. We hire people to manage it for us. But it is ours. And evereyone here is subject to it, not just those who choose to associate. And it has enormous powers over us, including the power of life and death. Private corporations have no such rights or responsibilities. So their governances are totally different.

Here in Wn we have made this absolutely clear. "The people of this state do not yield thier sovereignty to the agencies which serve them. The people, in delegating authority, do not give their public servants (yes, we do use that term here!) the right todecice what is good for the people to know and what is not good for them to know. The people insist on remaining informed so that they may retain control over the instruments they have created." Revised Code of Washington 42.30.010

You will find no such thing in any corporate charter or governing documents.
