Everything Churchill said was sincere and turned out to be true. It didn't matter as what they really wanted was for the Jews to continue to enrich them by paying huge prices for land, including previously unsalable wasteland, but not to change the neighborhood by moving in.

Bingo Nadine!!

And what is probably more of a impetus for this Arab generated turmoil is how glaringly successful Israel has been, despite having little to no oil, and only a small percentage of the land that many other Arab nations possess. It's just plum embarrassing for most Arab nations.

Yet, most of these Arab nations possess tremendous oil reserves, which they pump out at less that $2/barrel, and THEY STILL CANNOT DEVELOP sustainable economies.

The prevailing Arab culture, as of yet, has shown itself relatively incapable of producing a successful economy without having access to a cheap, and readily saleable, commodity.

And before anyone tries to cite the subsidies the US provides to Israel, let's not forget that much of that goes to supporting a larger than average military.. One that would not be required were there no Arab aggression and continuous threats.

I think Arabs, and muslims in general, are just as capable of creating sustainable economies.. But just not under the current form of governments and societal structures they currently possess.
