Polar, in a hearing before the US House a couple of years back the late General Alexander Lebed, (retired general and the one credited with not! obeying HIS orders and refusing to command his troops to fire on Muscovites, thus allowing the current political structure to evolve in Russia via Yeltsin's rise to power, but nevertheless a VERY nationalist Russian) testified that there were as many as 80 tactical(suitcase) nukes he could not account for, thus putting into play the US-Russian financial agreement, to wit we help them find 'em...I am unaware how many of the missing nukes of such concern to Lebed remain missing...I don't think it is rabid paranoia to have the same concerns as one who was on the inside of the regime that fell and that lost them. Neither do I think it is rabid paranoia to have my doubts about denials of concern by our government. Hope it comes to nothing. But then I hear wishing does not make it so.
